Col. James Hartshorne House Annual Breakfast
A Wakefield tradition dating back to the 1930s, the annual Hartshorne House Breakfast is one of the major fundraisers of the year for the non profit Col. James Hartshorne House Association. Founded in 1930, the Association is charged with the maintenance, preservation, and restoration of Wakefield's oldest home, the 1681 Hartshorne House. The Breakfast is held at the West Side Social Club, (4 Harrington Ct, Wakefield), and the menu includes eggs, ham, potatoes, baked goods, orange juice and tea, and is catered by Wakefield's House Calls Catering. Many local organizations purchase tickets and bring staff members to breakfast before the start of the work day. This very popular event is always well attended.
